1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. SafePetLogistics reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to our website.

2. Services

SafePetLogistics provides pet transport services including:

  • Air, land, and sea transport for domestic animals
  • Equipment rental and sales
  • Documentation assistance
  • Veterinary health check coordination

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that we determine, in our sole discretion, poses a risk to handlers, other animals, or cannot safely complete the journey.

3. Transport Liability

3.1 Standard Coverage

All bookings include basic liability coverage up to $500 per pet. This covers loss, injury, or death directly caused by our negligence during transport.

3.2 Premium Insurance

Extended coverage is available for purchase ($100) providing up to $5,000 coverage per pet. Premium insurance is recommended for high-value pets.

3.3 Exclusions

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing health conditions
  • Natural death or illness during transport
  • Damage caused by the pet to equipment or facilities
  • Delays caused by weather, airline decisions, or government actions
  • Loss of documentation provided by the customer

4. Refund Policy

  • 14+ days before travel: Full refund minus processing fee ($50)
  • 7-14 days before travel: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days: No refund, but credit may be applied to future booking
  • Weather/airline cancellations: Full refund or free rescheduling

5. Weather & Delays

Pet safety is our priority. We may delay or reroute transport due to extreme temperatures, inclement weather, or other safety concerns. Such delays do not entitle customers to refunds but may be rescheduled at no additional cost.

6. Airline Regulations

We comply with all airline regulations regarding live animal transport. Specific airlines may have additional restrictions on breeds, crate sizes, or seasonal embargoes. We will inform you of any such restrictions that affect your booking.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about their pet's health and behavior
  • Ensuring all required vaccinations are current
  • Obtaining necessary travel documents and permits
  • Providing a properly fitting, IATA-compliant crate (if not renting from us)
  • Being available for pickup/delivery at scheduled times

8. Prohibited Items

The following may not be shipped with your pet:

  • Sedatives or tranquilizers (we never sedate pets)
  • Excessive food quantities
  • Toys that pose choking hazards
  • Leashes or collars that could cause injury
